Jagapathi Babu, Vimala Raman starrer Chattam has reached the sizeable screens these days. Directed by Arun Prasad and produced by Natti Kumar and Rama Satyanarayana under Vishaka Talkies banner, Chattam is made focusing on the real life incidents of up to date epoch. Let’s see to it that how far the director succeeded in bringing them to big-screens, Here is the Chattam Movie go over.
Story :
Gowri Shankar (Jagapathi Babu) is a tainted Police assessor in Punjagutta Police Station. He along with his constable does settlements by bribing the criminals. One day of the week a scholar called Swapna will be attacked by an eve puzzler with acid. Though the criminal was jammed red-handed, he gets not at home of the Jail with his father’s influence who is a problem enticement. However, he gets killed by an unknown person soon after and the criminal’s father uses his power and burden CBI enquiry. Within a small amount of days, the same unknown person kills any more criminal who kidnaps a girt and brutally kills her. CBI Officer (Ajay Sharma) ultimately identifies the unknown person through investigation, who is not a hint other than Gowri Shankar. Shanakar heads to Mumbai and gets jammed by Mumbai cops. Here comes a twist with the purpose of Gowri Shankar purposely does these activities to persuade arrested to encounter Hasan Ali? Why does Gowri Shankar meets Hasan Ali? What was the story behind it… is to be watched on-screens.
Performances :
Jagapathi Babu as usual has complete the role of a cop in his altered way. His character is blended with the comedy and he did the role with make better. Cop typeset are not contemporary to him and Chattam too neither presented him unique nor challenging role.
Vimala Raman has nothing much to figure out in the film except for a pair of scenes with Jagapathi Babu and a pair of songs, somewhere she manages with the skin bare.
Jeeva as a constable is satisfactory, Mukul Shamra as a CBI bureaucrat is achieve, Ashish Vidyarthi gives a decent performance as an assessor. Rest of the cast did their small piece as compulsory.
Technical Analysis :
Director Arun Prasad’s indication behind the storyline of Chattam is praiseworthy but the lingering script and the week restriction spoils the bare. Neither the dialogues nor the songs in the film are attractive. The background mark by Srilekha is merely approve in parts. The skirmish scenes in the film are well shot and the shooting is middling.
Analysis :
Chattam is inspired from the real-life incidents like Warangal acid set of circumstances on girls, Vaishnavi’s murder set of circumstances from Vijayawada and 26/11 Mumbai Terror attacks but the director absolutely botched in its execution. The most important backdrop of the film was with its script which is quite predictable from picture solitary. The pre-climax and the climax are the other let-downs as the director comes up with a solution to eradicate these loopholes which can not at all be implemented in this current earth. Films based on real-incidents need fine script and well-execution and unfortunately Chattam fails in both.
