Congress President Sonia Gandhi returns after treatment in US

Our elected representatives President Sonia Gandhi returned to India after treatment in US for on the month. She was accompanied by her daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. She underwent surgery to have an undisclosed illness at a US hospital on July 4. Rahul had recently returned to India following attending to his ailing mother.

Sonia suddenly visited Us on August 2 and the Congress spokesperson had made a short announcement saying Gandhi had been recently diagnosed having a medical condition and was advised surgery.

Congress party general secretary Janardhan Dwivedi said that Sonia Gandhi is okay and she would not meet anyone for some days.
