Sonam Kapoor declines South films

Sonam as she's known, is by far the reigning style diva within Bollywood. As much as her colleagues and peers might snigger at her insufficient big-banner films, and commercial hits, her style statements make an undeniable effect on her ever growing fan base. Small wonder then that production houses still repose faith in her. To this day she statements to refuse more offers than she accepts.

In a current interview she clarified that she has at least rejected three films from reputed southern banners. One of them is really a film opposite Vijay being directed by Muruga Doss. Evidently she gave this film lots of thought before rejecting it. Her dad Anil Kapoor also didn't do many southern films, but was smart enough to possess a few remade with him as the hero.

One such film was the movie “woh Saat din” that was a remake of a Bhagyaraj original in Tamil. The Hindi remake went onto became a smash hit and firmly launched Anil Kapoor one of the big league of heroes. Let us hope that Sonam reconsiders her decision to avoid south films. We could definitely do with some relaxing new style.
