Big B Amitabh Bachan visits Amar Singh at AIIMS

Bollywood celebrity Amitabh Bachchan Sunday visited long-time friend and Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Brand new Delhi.

Singh, arrested in the cash-for-votes scam, is upon interim bail till Sep 19. He was put below medical observation Sep 13 after he complained of sick health.

Bachchan, who is in Delhi to attend the actual Bharatiya Gyanpith Award, was accompanied by his Delhi-based child, Shweta Nanda.

'Amitabh Bachchan came to see Amar Singh within the private ward around 11 a. m., ' an AIIMS physician said.

Amar Singh and two former Bharatiya Janata Celebration (BJP) MPs, Faggan Singh Kulaste and Mahavir Singh Bhagora, were arrested Sep 6 for their alleged involvement so that they can bribe MPs ahead of the July 2008 parliament believe in vote.

Bachchan's visit follows Singh confidante and MP Jayaprada's jibe stating: 'The celebrities he helped, the famous people... Where tend to be they? '.
